As soon as this Legacy Granddaughter was born, we knew to call her Kashmir. Her fleece is incredibly bright, soft, and silky. Her crimp architecture is very consistent, even throughout her tail and top knot. Her wonderful fleece and heavy bone structure is inherited from her sire Taos, our 3/4 accoyo Legacy son and an El Moustachio grandson. Kashmir continues the straight clean lines of Taos and to top it off add in the genes of Caligula and Felix makes for a deadly combination!
Kashmir's fleece structure is very similar to her half brother BMF Taos' Zeppelin. Zeppelin took first place at the 2009 AOBA Nationals World Fleece Show-Juvenile Bay Black, and 2nd out of 10 in Halter competition at the highly competitive 2009 Great Western Alpaca Show in Colorado, a Level 5 event. Zeppelin also won color champion at the 2009 FallFest fleece show!
Kashmir was bred to Benchmark's Perucoyo Champ, a Accoyo Shangri La son. Shangri La' s Sire is the legendary Accoyo Caligula and his Dam is Accoyo Sunipani. This same breeding produced Shangri La’s full older brother Accoyo El Nino.
With Champ's genetics and Kashmir's Legacy background, this pairing should produce something special! The expected cria should be born in September 2011.
